A running diary of all our Brunch Club spots and the cafe's we'd love you to visit.
*Disclaimer, we do NOT get any kickback from supporting these cafes, these are genuine reviews of the places we know can handle dogs, the details of what they offer and why we love them.
What you'll find: Large covered outdoor area at this friendly neighbourhood cafe, if it's just a few of you be prepared to share a long table with another small group (which adds to the charm of it) Lots of "dog parking" spots on the building to attach your dogs lead to, always offering water bowls to the pooches and plenty of staff that love the furry visitors. Dogs outside only.
Can't go past: The baked pancake! I have a thing about cafes who offer BORING sweet brunch options, menus that read: waffles/pancakes/french toast with banana, bacon and maple syrup (UGH boring!) so when I find places that continue to change up the way we think about doing these kind of dishes I HAVE to try them! The Baked pancake at Hayes is crunchy around the outside and soft towards the middle, usually accompanied by tart lemon curd and fruit of some kind, again I have yet to be disappointed by ordering this dish! Excellent coffee and they're licensed too! I have enjoyed a mulled wine with my Sunday brunch on the odd occasion here and loved it!
Open: 7 days 7.30am - 4pm and open for dinner Wed-Sat
You'll usually find it busy on weekends
Handy to know: Hayes Common is opposite the large riverside park, Hayes Paddock, a great spot to brunch while out on a weekend river stroll or try parking at the Hamilton Gardens and walk along the picturesque path down to Hayes and back again.
